The American Bhangra Music Machine
Based in Fremont, California, American Bhangra was born when two college roomates had a big dream. Take one part Bhangra, mix one part American, and add a heaping spoonful of talent and heart and you have a recipe for success.
American Bhangra was created when Mandeep Taunk and Harry Sachdev got together and decided they needed to make an impact on the Punjabi music scene. For years they had watched by as the other three corners of the globe were making their contribution to Punjabi music and pop culture but America was still lagging behind. With family and friends behind them, they began building a world-class label by creating a recording studio, enlisting musicians, songwriters, and vocalists, and creating the American Bhangra image. Mandeep decided he would focus on the production and Harry decided he would focus on marketing and publicity.
Now in their second year as a record label, American Bhangra is ready to be big fish in the pond.
